The patented GATOR™ Abrasive Wheel Cut-Off Machine with patented Hydro-Clamp Technology is designed for safety, ergonomics and productivity.
The GATOR™ 5 axis remote controlled abrasive wheel cut-off machine features Hydro-Clamp™ Technology. The patented Hydro-Clamp™ takes the place of the operator’s hands for holding castings. The GATOR™ with Hydro-Clamp™ Technology mimics the motions required to cut gating. The Hydro-Clamp™ rotates manually 360 degrees, clockwise or counterclockwise via the machines steering wheel and pivots 180 degrees to the left or to the right. The abrasive wheel arbor raises and lowers for wheel height adjustment. The Hydro-Clamp™ assembly is mounted on fully supported precision shafting for X-Y linear movement. The operator achieves 5 axis of movement from a safe distance. The hydraulically powered Hydro-Clamp™ holds the castings rigid in conjunction with the hydraulic caliper disc brakes on the pivotal and rotational axis. Hydraulic actuated X-Y movements offer complete remote control during the cut-off operation. A laser guide line option shows the operator exactly where the cut will occur each and every time.
