Triplex Systems, Inc., designed the “Gator” Abrasive Wheel Cut-Off Machine to bring safety, accuracy, ergonomics and productivity to your casting cut-off department. To our knowledge the “Gator” is the safest casting cut-off machine in the industry. Triplex designed the “Gator”, specifically for the needs of the commercial investment casting industry. Standard investment cast trees are loaded into our “Five Point Clamping System”. The operator from a safe distance remotely controls the tree into the abrasive wheel for cutting. The “Gator” brings safety and ergonomics to one of the most difficult and dangerous jobs in the investment casting foundry. The cut-off department no longer needs to be an accident waiting to happen.

• Clamping System easily pivots to the loading position for ease in loading trees by the operator or by overhead lifting device.
• “Gator” has 5-axis of movement as follows; In / Out, Left / Right, Up / Down, Pivot Left / Pivot Right, Rotate Clockwise / Rotate Counterclockwise.
• The “Gator” can cut trees inline to the abrasive wheel, 180 degrees perpendicular to the abrasive wheel or any angle in between.
• The “Gator” can cut trees at different levels by raising and lowering the saw arbor by simple rocker switch control on the joystick. The operator can also adjust for abrasive wheel wear with this same control.
• The “Gator” uses a Laser Guide Line so the operator can easily visually align the tree to cut-off. Once the tree is aligned the operator can cut rows of parts using the variable speed joystick. The operator can easily move Left / Right to cut the next row of castings.
• The convenient manual wheel allows the operator to easily rotate or adjust to a desired angle.
• The “5 Point Clamping System” features our Patented 3-jaw Long Reach Hydro-Clamp and our Automatic Steady Rest Alignment System. Three foot pedals control; Clamping / Unclamping, Pivoting and Rotating providing the safety of not releasing a tree. The Pivot and Rotate features are locked in place by hydraulic disc brakes.
